When I heard Jewel Changi Airport is launching their glampcation packages for the first time ever, I was psyched. I’ve always loved nature, so sleeping under the stars is absolutely amazing—until I become food for mosquitoes and wake up from my sleeping bag with a serious backache. Not so magical anymore.
Given that travel is out of the picture this year, we reckon it’ll be snapped up in a jiffy—even before you can say the word glampcation—so fastest fingers first! Kudos to Jewel for thinking of this, since Singaporeans are constantly searching for places to relax and recharge locally for the holidays—and clear annual leave!
For staycay, choose from 2 main packages: Glampcation in the Clouds (at the HSBC waterfall vortex) and Glampcation at Shiseido Forest Valley. It costs $320 per night on weekdays (Mon to Thu) and $360 per night on weekends (Fri to Sun).
Bookings are now open and there’s a 10% discount for the soft launch this weekend (20 to 22 Nov), $324 per tent; and for weekdays (23 to 26 Nov), $288 per tent.
A caveat: check-in is super late and check-out super early. For Glampcation in the Clouds, you will only be able to check in at 7:00pm and be out by 10am the next morning. For Glampcation at Shiseido Forest Valley, it’s worse—check in time is almost bedtime at 11:30pm, and you’ll have to check out early the next morning at 9:00am. Not exactly a chill staycay, if you ask me.
Glampcation in the Clouds (until 3 Jan, 2021)
Adorned with sparkly fairy lights, your glamping tent is definitely gorg enough for endless photo ops for the ‘Gram. No need to pitch your own tent even—just arrive and get cozy. Dapao from one of Jewel’s many restaurants and enjoy a slow candlelit dinner in your tent. The next morning, wake up to naturey sounds of waterfall and soak in views of the majestic HSBC Rain Vortex just outside your tent. If you’re an early riser, you could even have a picnic breakfast outside near the waterfall—beautiful, Kinfolk style.
Glampcation at Shiseido Forest Valley (until 3 Jan, 2021)
Wake up from your bed in glamping tents that look like something straight out of a movie set—or adventure-themed wedding décor. Step outside and be surrounded by gorgeous, lush greenery in a beautiful forest setting—with all your Earthly comforts. Note that check-in time for this package is later than the other, from 11:30pm onwards.

Glampicnic in the Clouds (until 3 Jan, 2021)
There’s also a daycation option—you could enjoy a picnic and glamping experience in the day, sans the sleepover. This Christmas, instead of hosting at home, get your friends to prep a delicious, festive home-cooked dish each for an Instagram-worthy Christmas picnic rendezvous.
The Glampicnic in the Clouds option costs $160 on weekdays and $180 on weekends, with two timeslots of choice:
- The brunch slot — 11:15am to 2:15pm
- The afternoon tea slot — 3:00 to 6:00pm
Each picnic session is capped at 3 hours and accommodates up to 5 pax.
The tent booking comes along with table settings: table cloth, disposable plates, cutlery, wine glasses, cushion seats and a cooler box with ice, ensuring an enjoyable picnic experience. Additional add-ons for a fee include picnic décor and set-up, portable speakers, card games, etc.

2D1N Family Camp at Jewel Changi Airport (till 21st Dec 2020)
If your kiddos are always building a make-believe tent with their blankets, imagine their excitement if you book them in for Jewel’s 2D1N Family Camp! It comes complete with a sleepover within the digital ‘camping grounds’ of Changi Experience Studio (located at Level 4 of Jewel Changi Airport).
Program highlights include:
- Get up close with Changi’s firefighters, who help keep the place safe round the clock. Hop on board the Airport Emergency Service’ fleet of swanky vehicles, don fire-fighting suits for photo-worthy moments, learn simple fire-fighting life skills
- Visit the Changi Nursery and see how the airport’s Horticulture team managed to adorn the interiors and exteriors of our Garden Airport. You can even plant your own sunflower, and bring it home!
- Festive Craft Workshop: design your own hand-made Christmas wreaths and decoration
The 2D1N family camp cost $160 per adult & $130 per child. All children would have to be accompanied by at least one supervising adult (above 21 years old). The package also includes:
